A Worthy Cause

September 20, 2010

For people with intellectual disabilities, Special Olympics is often the only place where they have an opportunity to participate in their communities and develop their belief in themselves. Special Olympics sports provide a gateway to empowerment, competence, acceptance and joy. When Special Olympics athletes walk into a gymnasium, step up to the pitching mound, or pick up a basketball they are transformed. They are no longer framed by negative stereotypes and misconceptions about intellectual disabilities. They are champions in their own eyes. Those around them are changed too, beginning to see — often for the first time — what they can do. Please help us support this wonderful cause by donating online today.

If we meet our goal of $1,000.00, we will send our very own Quinn Takei, L.Ac. & Director of The Center: Natural Health Specialists Over The Edge of the Wachovia Tower in donwtown Raleigh on October 2, 2010.

Time is running out! Please help us support this very worthy cause today!
